McDONALDS'S FRANCHISEES ORDER SECONDS FROM BBG&G ADVERTISING
New York State Thruway McDonald's Operators Return to BBG&G for More Public Relations and Marketing Promos
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Thanks to a job well done last year, BBG&G Advertising will be serving up yet another campaign to increase traffic to McDonald’s Restaurants at select locations on the New York State Thruway this year.
The Middletown-based advertising and public relations firm cooked up the Better Getaway Sweepstakes last year, and thanks to its success, they’re once again working with the New York State Thruway McDonald’s Operators, owners of McDonald’s franchises at 11 travel plazas.
This year’s “Be Tool Cool” campaign is aimed at tour bus drivers and guides. It rewards frequent visits to McDonald’s with gift certificates for Craftsman® Tools. All a driver or guide is required to do is have a McDonald’s “Be Tool Cool” frequency card stamped with every busload they bring in. After 12 stamps they send in their completed cards and receive a $20 Sears® gift card.
“When we work with BBG&G, we feel they’re really looking out for our best interest. Last year they worked with travel destinations to donate prizes in exchange for advertising. This year, on our behalf, they are implementing substantial public relations efforts with the bus companies that frequent the New York State Thruway,” explains Larry Bennett, owner of the Modena and Ramapo restaurants and spokesperson for the group. “We like the personal attention we’ve received from BBG&G, as well as the skills they bring to the table. But most of all, we appreciate that they crafted a campaign that worked like gangbusters last year—and we’re certain we have a winner again.”
According to Bennett, a travel plaza McDonald’s franchise is different from a community-based location and requires a different, often more intensive, marketing effort. “BBG&G Advertising and Public Relations was a quick study. What’s more, they’re located right in the community; and as local business owners ourselves, we strongly believe in supporting local businesses.”
BBG&G Advertising creates award winning advertising and marketing, as well as public relations and media relations campaigns for regional and national clients.
