Taylor Recycling

Taylor Recycling of Montgomery approached us early that year. A family owned business since the 40’s, the company had radically altered and grown since legislation passed in the 80’s allowed it to become a C&D processing center. Through hard work and tremendous vision, the company had specialized a process whereby they now reclaim, reprocess, or recycle 97% of the C&D debris they receive. They had also won a contract with the federal and state government to assist at Fresh Kills in Staten Island, enabling agents to sort the debris with incredible accuracy and coming well under budget through their streamlined process. They were about to open a brand new facility. But nobody knew.

We launched an integrated marketing and public relations campaign that included:
• development of a full press kit containing company background, bios, head shots of principals, and significant releases
• dissemination of press releases geared to several different markets: the local community, the metropolitan region, local businesses, and regional and national
trade interests
• ongoing pitching and follow-up
• event planning and coordination
• logo revision, development of key messages and tag line
• newsletter
• new corporate materials
• business stationery
• signage
• print ads
• radio spots
• direct mail

The results?
• They are in contract negotiations with the State of Iowa to open and manage a state-wide recycling processing center
• They are in negotiations with the Dominican Republic to bring their expertise and recycling technology to that country
• Their bread and butter business of mulch and top soil sales to local landscapers, builders, and residents has doubled
• They have gained the attention and respect of the Department of Energy and certain investors and are in the process of finalizing new technology that will lead to further significant expansion at their Montgomery site
