Deborah Garry
Deborah Garry is our president. For her clients, she runs the gamut - heads up the research, writes proposals, creates marketing plans, establishes budget guidelines, develops strategies, and makes sure creative work moves the strategies toward their goal. A gifted musician, she's often drumming up new business. She has a checkered past - she worked in publishing on the corporate side before setting off on her own, handling the gamut of marketing, advertising and public relations materials before teaming up in the formation of BBG&G. A tireless leader, Deborah is choir master at her Church on the weekend and she plays a mean piano. Just how mean? Now hear this.
June Bisel
Talk about drive. If co-founder June Bisel isn´t driving creative development, marketing strategy and research or driving new business our way, she´s probably on the back of a horse, or a Harley or in the driver´s seat of her convertible with the wind in her hair and excitement in her eyes. June is an avid horsewoman, but she isn´t one for driving her horses, she prefers working with them as a team. Her preference for teamwork helps explain why our clients enjoy working with her, why she was selected to serve on the Board of Cornell Cooperative Extension of Orange County, and why she´s a social media maven as well.June doesn´t hesitate to mix work and pleasure. In fact, she often has a hard time separating the two. Working with her is like traveling with her along the highways and out on the trails. Sure there´s a destination in mind, but there´s adventure every step of the way. If another path looks inviting, June won´t hesitate to follow it to see where it leads: "Sometimes the journey leads to an even better destination," she says. And judging from the success she´s had building the agency, our clients tend to agree that she´s right.
Peggy Brunetti
Some people are Type A personalities. Others are clearly Type A Plus. Before coming to BBG&G, Peggy built an impressive resume in Technology Management, Business Operations, and Human Relations. She brings experience in project management and corporate account service. As Director of Agency Operations, Peggy handles Media Buying and Public Relations and enjoys a sound rapport with the media. She manages timely and accurate communication amongst our clients, staff, vendors, and smooth expedition of work flow.Peggy is also involved in her church community as lector, catechist, and youth group activities. She serves on the Advisory Board for Kairos Prison Ministry. And in her free time? (How much time could that really be?) She enjoys playing tennis and reading. Did we mention spending time with her husband, two teens and young twin boys? The last mentioned is certainly not least when it comes to Peggy's priorities. How does she do it? If we find out, we'll package it!
Shannon Bristol
Shannon Bristol, art director and pre-press professional, has been at her career for twelve years. She provides top-notch design, photo enhancements, and makes sure all the i's are dotted and t's are crossed before things go out to be printed. There's no balance for Shannon in her free time, which is usually filled with additional creative outlets-including photography and scrapbooking. She is also a sports nut, following Duke basketball, the NY Yankees, and the Green Bay Packers.
Barbara Joyce
Details. Details. Details. Barbara doesn't let anything fall through the cracks. She's our resident task master. Her fifteen-year professional background is a combo of sales and marketing administration and account supervision/customer service. From managing senior-level placement projects with a Wall Street-based executive search firm to implementing standards and procedures for a Fortune 500 company, she now shepherds our writers, designers, proofreaders, photographers, production staff, and printers to make sure we stay on schedule and on budget-no easy feat. She's also a new mom. Besides being busy at work and home, Barb is also active in several nursing home ministries and teaches Sunday School classes throughout the year at her local church. And last but not least, Barb is an avid NY Yankees fan and tries not to miss any Yankees games during the season.
Gloria Smith
Gloria Smith, our head writer, is a Leo and doesn't mind the lime-light even one little bit. She learned to write so people listen on Madison Avenue contributing to a variety of accounts from packaged goods like Cheerios to Warner's lingerie. She was sole writer for the trade side of KLM Airlines for a number of years. From editing newsletters to contributing articles on a variety of topics, she keeps busy. She's an avid horse woman who recently became a pilot. Want to be her first passenger? We didn't think so.
Joan Schweighardt
Joan Schweighardt makes herself available to us whenever we need a freelancer. The author of four published novels (the last of which releases in Italy in a few months) and the publisher of 14 books for other writers, Joan's job preference is for writing and editing assignments. But she loves doing marketing and public relations work as well. She also loves playing games, with her favorites being chess, Scrabble and poker, and hosting large parties in her small house.
Tabitha (Tabby) Pearson Marshall
Whoever said the hand is quicker than the eye must have been talking about the eye-catching work of Tabby Marshall. She's our on-the-go "go-to" graphic designer who has received awards for trade show booth designs, advertising and direct mail. When Tabby takes time out she's not far afield - she creates pen and ink illustrations and loves using photography professionally and as a hobby. Before Tabby came to us, she worked as creative director for Madison Direct Marketing and Doubleday Book and Music Clubs.Tabby holds a BFA in graphic design from Manhattanville College and in addition to all of the above, she's mom to daughters Willow and Ivy and wife to husband Larry, as well!
Richard Kurisko
Maybe high-achievers aren't born that way, but Richard shows signs that work may very well be hard-wired in his DNA. This Montgomery, New York, native has been very active in his community since day one, moving up the ranks in scouting and earning the rank of Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America. After college, Richard went to work in the non-profit sector out in Denver, Colorado where he spent his free time hitting the slopes on his skis and snowboard in the winter and backpacking and camping in the summer. At the age of 23, Richard returned home to Orange County where he purchased the pizzeria that he worked in throughout high school and college. Cooking is something he has always enjoyed and it only made sense for him to return home and follow his passion. He's built a strong client base in a struggling economy - and he's made it all look 'easy as pie'. As a young professional, Richard became Vice President of the local Montgomery Business Association.
Since coming on board at BBGG, Richard has taken over our social media department where he works closely with our clients to improve their businesses through integrated online strategies including Facebook, Twitter, online PR, blog writing and so much more. He prefers to be called Richard, but we believe in a very short time his friends and neighbors will know him simply as "Rich".
