Chinese travelers make up a massive portion of American and worldwide tourism. China has the world’s largest number of outbound tourists, whose total consumption overseas reached $109.8 billion in 2016. New York was one of the top ten cities that the highest spending Chinese travelers visited.
Naturally, Rockland County Tourism wanted to position themselves as a must-see destination for that audience. Starting with a solid recognizable brand, we developed a training program to help prepare local businesses to be China Ready, developed a fully translated micro-site, and advertised through key Chinese media outlets.
