New Job Posting – Public Relations Assistant

BBG&G Advertising is seeking a public relations assistant to support media relations, public relations dissemination and follow-up. 

Hours: Days / Hours Flexible around schedule. Typically 7-16 hours per week. 2 to 3 days per week in office.

Compensation: Part-time position. Commensurate with experience.

Requirements:
~ Previous experience with Public Relations
~ Full working knowledge of and experience with all relevant social media platforms    
~ Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and InDesign 
~ Plus: Professional public relations and social media experience

Responsibilities:
Depending on client projects, will be responsible for some / all of the following:

~Research media and build targeted media lists
~Proof and disseminate press releases to targeted media
~Conduct assertive PR follow-up with media
~Disseminate pitch letters to select media and follow-up
~Monitor editorial calendars and conduct outreach accordingly
~Respond to incoming media queries, providing interviews, quotes, press materials and photography as needed
~Online media monitoring and securing print, podcast and broadcast clips
