BBG&G will donate time valued at more than $15,000 to develop a new brand, logo, and marketing strategy.

— One charitable or cause-focused Hudson Valley nonprofit will receive a full day of pro bono branding and marketing services from BBG&G Advertising and Public Relations on #NYGivesDay this fall.

As part of its second annual Brandathon on Nov. 27, the 13-person BBG&G staff will donate professional time valued at more than $15,000 to develop a new brand, logo, and marketing strategy to a deserving organization.

“It’s important, but expensive, for nonprofits to develop a professional brand, so we’re going to help get one started with our Brandathon,” said Deborah Garry, BBG&G founder and CEO.

On Nov. 27, nationally recognized as #GivingTuesday as well as #NYGivesDay, the entire BBG&G team will dedicate 12 nonstop hours at its Campbell Hall offices to create a starter kit of marketing tools. These will include basic web design, logo design, print collateral templates, branding guidelines, and a six-month content marketing and social media plan that the organization can implement with a small staff and limited resources. The plan and its elements will be unveiled to the winning client on Nov. 28.

To be considered for this opportunity, nonprofit organizations headquartered in the Hudson Valley must complete an online Brandathon application by Friday, Nov. 2, which can be found at https://bbggadv.com/brandathon2018. The BBG&G team will review all applications, choose an organization, and announce the recipient on Friday, Nov. 9.

To be eligible, organizations must fit into one of these categories:

  • Animal shelters
  • Arts and cultural organizations
  • Disease research, prevention, and support charities
  • Farmland and environmental preservation groups
  • Food pantries and banks; food delivery services
  • Health agencies, hospitals, and ambulance corps
  • Historical societies and historic sites
  • Human service organizations
  • Libraries and literacy organizations
  • Museums
  • Recreation and youth groups
  • Shelter and housing agencies
  • Veterans’ organizations
