Social Media

BBG&G utilized smart strategy, focused content, and our understanding of social audiences to attend to the needs of Rockland County’s film industry, support local business communities, and augment economic development efforts.

The goal of BBG&G’s social media efforts for Rockland County was to drive track to its website and to increase followers to the Facebook and Instagram accounts. BBG&G developed a strong social media calendar that includes in-feed posts, Stories, and Reels.

Rockland County Creative

We created a clean and easy to navigate website for Rockland County based on user experience. People are invited to search for attractions and activities based on what they are looking to do in Rockland. To further encourage this idea, the tagline “Explore Rockland” is used in advertising and social media to create a united message across all platforms. We also incorporated user-generated content on the website to showcase how real people explore Rockland.

For social media, we create and schedule bi-weekly posts featuring “3 Things to Do” in Rockland. This gives our audience a quick glimpse into what is happening in the area for that week.

Rockland_Responsive

With New York being the #1 dream destination for the 2016 travel-savvy Chinese tourist, it was time for Rockland County to welcome them with a clear-cut brand. Rockland County was already seeing the economic impact of Chinese tourism, but they needed someone to help them go the extra mile.

User-Generated Content

We utilized user-generated content on the website, social media, and advertisements. We worked with various Chinese influencers to help bring exposure to Rockland County and grow the Chinese audience.

BBG&G also built the “China Ready” program as free workshops that prepared local businesses to welcome Chinese tourists. We developed and coordinated the entire program, including training content, email invitations, a China Ready handbook, an FAQ pamphlet; common phrases cheat sheet, the emblem we designed has appeared in sticker form inside store windows, and more.

Our multi-media advertising strategy utilized key Chinese media outlets to entice Chinese tourists and Chinese Americans to feel Welcome in Rockland.

We developed a dedicated micro-website highlighting everything a Chinese tourist might be looking for – from history and culture to shopping and cuisine.

Identifying key tour operators, we reached out to collaborate with them by attending trade shows such as IPW and RTO Summit and holding a FAM tour with I LOVE NY. We met with them and provided helpful information such as our Rockland fact sheet, to prepare them to bring their groups to the county.
