Since opening in October 2009, Walkway Over the Hudson State Historic Park has improved the quality of life in the Hudson Valley and is making significant, positive contributions to the local and regional economy. Both a non-profit and a tourist attraction, the Walkway had different needs that needed to be met to reach each of their very different audiences. We helped design and develop a website that would equally distribute and highlight important content areas for each type of visitor, and ensure they would be able to find what they were looking for.

E-Commerce

Walkway Over the Hudson also wanted to make merchandise available for purchase on its website. We installed an e-commerce plugin on the site and built a seamless online shopping experience for Walkway’s customers. Walkway Over the Hudson's website store capabilities include: PayPal/Stripe payments, Shipping/Tax fees, Checkout, Account, and Products pages. Each stylized page compliments the website's branding.

Walkway Over the Hudson needed a responsive web design that would meet the demands of today’s online viewers. This clean-cut, modern site would serve to inform, educate and engage visitors planning a trip to the Walkway, highlight the Greater Walkway Experience more prominently, link to the I LOVE NY app, and help business leaders see the Walkway as an economic engine for the Hudson Valley region.
