What’s your favorite thing to do to begin your workday?

My favorite thing to do to get the day started is to make myself a cup of joe. When we’re in the office, I water the plants.

What’s the best piece of advice you received recently?

“Things don’t have to be perfect to be wonderful.”

What’s your favorite after work activity?

My favorite activity after work is taking a walk around my neighborhood, if it’s a nice day out. Sometimes, if it’s a Friday, I indulge in a nice glass of pinot noir.

Now, let’s get Brittany’s insight on marketing automation:

Can you explain what marketing automation is in your own words?

Marketing automation is a set of tools that connects a business to their customer, at the right place and the right time in the buying decision process.

What was one of your favorite marketing automation campaigns to work on, and why?

One of my favorite campaigns was the Millbrook Vineyards & Winery’s “Welcome” newsletter campaign. Depending on what a lead filled out in the newsletter sign up form, they were automatically sent a “Welcome” coupon based on the information they were most interested in. It was exciting and fulfilling to see how high the engagement rate was for that campaign.

What do you recommend to businesses looking to jump into using marketing automation for their business?

Marketing automation changes the entire communication process. It helps you identify your business prospects by delivering the perfect message at the right time. The coolest part of the process is that it can be all automated, so that you never miss out on an opportunity to close a sale.
