Turning Your Video Views Into Leads

By Bethany, Social Media Strategist | February 19, 2020

Video is continuing to outperform other content in the digital world. Using video to nurture and convert your leads is an easy solution for many brands.

Back in September, I attended Digital Marketing World Forum and gained helpful video marketing insights from Marketing Director of the New York Marketing Association, Jimmy Newson.

In order to get the most out of your videos, follow these steps:

1. Back Up Your Video Marketing with Automation

Marketing Automation can help your video leads. By having effective marketing automation software in place, you can track your video views and send them next steps. Learn more about how marketing automation can help your business in our previous blog post.

2. Add CTAs to Your Videos

While you are in the creation stage of making your videos, think of an effective call to action button that will prompt your viewers to take the next steps such as fill out a form, navigate to another landing page, and more.

3. Track Videos on Your Site

Add your videos to your website for tracking. If you add your videos to a third party platform such as YouTube, you won’t be able to use any of that data to help with marketing automation.

4. Follow Up With More Videos

Once a lead has viewed a video, it’s likely that they would be interested in watching another video you produce. Re-engage with this lead by emailing them another video. It is more likely that they will make another conversion after that.

5. Keep Your Leads Connected to Your Brand

After you’ve sent your leads the appropriate educational video, help them continue to learn and grow by keeping them connected with your brand. Send them a follow up email asking to connect on social media, or request they sign up for your newsletter. The more your leads become familiar with your brand, the more likely they will become future customers.

By implementing these simple steps, you will be well on your way to converting your video leads. Need help setting this up? Contact us at smartstrategies@bbggadv.com.
